THE HOUSE
During the restoration of a traditional farmhouse
belonging to a farm estate in the upper Orcia valley, one part has been transformed into
two apartments called Rosa and Maria. The position of the house, on a hilltop and
surrounded by fields, is very quiet and offers a wonderful and extensive panorama of Monte
Amiata and the castle of Rocca d'Orcia, a landscape with green woods and the rolling clay
hills, and finally Pienza, one of the most picturesque towns of the area South of Siena.
Situated at approx. 5 km from the village Gallina (basic shops), trips to Pienza and other
characteristic villages (San Quirico 15 km, Montepulciano 25 km, Montalcino 30 km) are to
be recommended, and Siena is at 60 km. The other part of the house is only occasionally
occupied.
EQUIPMENTS
Heating, TV. Outdoor there are small spaces with tables and chairs. Washing machine in
each apartment. Private swimming pool (5x10).

The restoration and the furnishings have been very
attentive, combining typical architectural features with the local country furniture. Rosa - mq. 60 - (Sleeps
4) 1st floor: entrance, living/dining room with fireplace,
separated by an arch from a small kitchen area, double room, twin bedded room, bathroom
with shower. Maria- mq. 75 - (Sleeps
4+2) Ground floor: living room with fireplace and double sofa bed, dining room
with separated kitchen area, double room, twin bedded room, 2 bathrooms with shower.
